Speaking as a woman who has had two separate and unconnected forms of cancer in one breast, I am no slave to statistics. But, I must challenge Christa D'Souza's claim [Return to Form, October 2008 issue], "We're all going to to get breast cancer anyway".

No. We. Are. Not. Roughly one in eight of us women are. And the other seven are needed for fund-raising, moral support and consolation cocktails when the going gets tough. Don't you go freaking them out now.

Kindly print either a selection of the no doubt numerous letters you will receive on this subject, or a retraction. After 16 years at the helm, Alexandra, you really should know better.
