All quiet on the Western Front

Headed west for auricular acupuncture at the Haven;  it slows me down, and does wonders for my internal combustion engine.  Enjoyed the sunshine and King's Road from a No. 11 bus (much to the relief of my wallet) all the way to Victoria, where I ate lunch and could easily have believed myself in an airport departure lounge:  no windows, echoey announcements, Sky News.  Mind you, bet they don't advertise cross-dressing services at Heathrow.  Then again...
.
It's been days without codeine.  Things are looking up.  SB points out that I should log these things, try to make sense of them.  I used to, then I gave up and just got on with life rather than total self-absorption.  Balance is everything.
.
Fabulous double-page spread in the Guardian:  how to drive a steam train.  Wonder what possessed them.
